Aaron Guiterman is Edelman Global Advisory’s Head of U.S. Public Affairs. A former nine-year veteran of Edelman, Mr. Guiterman manages a team of experts across the U.S. to provide globally integrated business and government advisory services.
Mr. Guiterman returns to EGA from BCW where he served as the EVP, Market Leader for their Washington, D.C. office. Previously at Edelman, Mr. Guiterman oversaw Energy and Industrials Policy and served as Chief Innovation Officer within EGA. He also held various roles including head of Digital Public Affairs, and Group Director of Strategy and Planning at Edelman.
For more than twenty-five years, Mr. Guiterman has applied his multifaceted experience in public affairs, political campaign design, digital communications and integrated media to guide clients through difficult and high-risk legislative, reputational and regulatory battles. He has advised a variety of high-profile clients in technology, telecom, energy, manufacturing, industrial and aerospace and defense through tough issues, reputational crises and political fights. He has also advised on campaigns to alleviate poverty and increase access to vital resources in rural Alaskan villages.
Mr. Guiterman is an industry recognized expert in designing fully integrated issue advocacy campaigns, reputation management, ballot initiatives and referendum efforts on behalf of leading industry associations, corporations and organizations fighting mandates and passing legislation.
An early pioneer of digital issue advocacy and reputation campaigns, Mr. Guiterman specializes in the use of disparate custom and syndicated research and rapid response polling and field intelligence to develop disruptive creative strategies to win tough fights.
Prior to joining Edelman, he applied this expertise in senior level positions at Young & Rubicam, McCann-Erickson and the Glover Park Group.
Mr. Guiterman is a frequent lecturer at industry events and Universities, including American University, Georgetown, WVU and George Mason. He lives in Virginia with his wife and three children.
