Daniel Workman

Daniel (Danny) Workman is managing director and group head of the international public affairs team based in Edelman Global Advisory’s Washington, DC office supporting public affairs, opinion influencing, and profile elevation campaigns.

Mr. Workman has expertise in crafting public affairs campaigns that elevate issues to the forefront of the global policy agenda. He has served as a leader and day-to-day program manager for global public affairs campaigns with Fortune 50 firms in sectors including technology, retail, and infrastructure that are navigating the evolving regulatory and political environment on issues including cybersecurity, data privacy, and sustainability, among others. He has also counseled corporate clients on navigating shifting geopolitical issues, including critical topics driving U.S.-Asia relations.

Mr. Workman has a strong track record of success in counseling public sector clients as well, helping them organize major geopolitical moments and events, build or shape brand awareness, and inform global public dialogue. For instance, he worked with the Province of Ontario to establish itself in the eyes of technologists, OEMs, and others as a vital cog in EV production in North America, and elevated Ontario’s perspective among U.S. audiences on the future of mobility. He has also worked with NGOs to drive visibility on key issues, working, for example, with the Minderoo Foundation to elevate the issue of modern-day slavery to the forefront of policy dialogue.

Prior to joining Edelman Global Advisory, Mr. Workman helped found a London-based startup focused on equity crowdfunding for scaling businesses in emerging markets. Before moving to London, he worked with a boutique public affairs firm where he assisted with the development and implementation of high-visibility international public affairs campaigns involving some of the most politically sensitive issues.

Mr. Workman has a master’s degree in security studies from the University College London’s School of Public Policy and a bachelor’s degree in international affairs from The George Washington University.
