Creating and Managing a Prestigious Sustainability Prize in China

Our Objective

Our team was entrusted with the mission to create and manage the Paulson Prize for Sustainability, an initiative focused on addressing critical environmental challenges in China. Our goal was to establish a prestigious award that would recognize and promote innovative and scalable solutions to combat climate change and biodiversity loss, ensuring that the most impactful efforts receive the visibility and support they deserve.

Our Approach

We developed the award structure from the ground up, establishing rigorous evaluation criteria, identifying and coordinating with a distinguished jury committee, and even commissioning the trophy design. We convened a jury composed of leading experts from across relevant sectors, including city planning, economics, finance, energy, ecology, and environmental protection. Our approach ensured that the award process was thorough, transparent, and focused on identifying and championing solutions with the greatest potential for positive impact.

Our Impact

The Paulson Prize for Sustainability has reached its 10th year and counting, and has become a key platform for identifying and promoting cutting-edge environmental solutions in China. By bringing together a diverse group of experts and developing a robust evaluation process, we successfully highlighted initiatives that are making significant strides in combating climate change and biodiversity loss. The prize has not only awarded these efforts but has also inspired further innovation and commitments to sustainable practices, creating exponential impact across the broader global environmental movement.
