About
Ambassador Yasser Elnaggar is Chair of the Middle East and Africa at Basilinna. Previously, he helped launch Edelman Global Advisory, the public affairs arm of Edelman where he oversaw the building of its Middle East business as its Chair for the Middle East and Africa. In Egypt, he was the CEO of the Chemical Industries Holding Company, one of the county’s largest enterprises. Yasser’s distinguished diplomatic career spanned over 25 years, serving as Deputy Minister for Investment, Deputy Minister for Planning, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Egyptian Embassy in Washington, DC, Deputy Chief at the UN General Assembly, and Director of UN Affairs at Egypt's Ministry. His extensive experience with multilateral institutions includes serving as Senior Policy Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt and the Secretary General of the League of Arab States. He continues to provide counsel to influential global leaders. Yasser is a frequent commentator on the Middle East. He speaks fluent English and Arabic.
