Dr. Eric H. Cline is a Senior Fellow at Basilinna Institute. In addition, he is a Professor of Classics and Anthropology and the Director of the Capitol Archaeological Institute at The George Washington University. Former Chair of the Department of Classical and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, he has extensive archaeological field experience in Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Cyprus, Greece, Crete, and the U.S. A National Geographic Explorer, Fulbright scholar, and award-winning author, Dr. Cline is Co-Director of the Tel Kabri excavations in Israel and was a long-time member of the Megiddo Expedition at biblical Armageddon. He has written 20 books, including the Pulitzer Prize-considered 1177 BC, which have been translated into 19 languages and have earned multiple accolades, including the Biblical Archaeology Society’s “Best Popular Book on Archaeology” award. Dr. Cline is also a highly regarded lecturer and educator, having received numerous teaching and scholarship awards from both George Washington University and the Archaeological Institute of America.
