Scott is an Executive Director at Basilinna with over three decades in public relations across the U.S. and Asia-Pacific. He is also the Founder of the Meilinde Partnership, which advises multinational and Chinese clients on their China communications needs and helps Chinese companies go global, a Senior Advisor to the Ogilvy Group in Asia-Pacific, and China Chairman for the Page Society. Prior to establishing his own consultancy, Scott served as President and CEO, Asia-Pacific for Ogilvy Public Relations, and was responsible for the leadership and management of Ogilvy’s highly awarded Asia-Pacific network. In addition to advising corporate clients, Scott has provided senior counsel to various governmental bodies, including the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (BOCOG) and the State Council Information Office in China. Scott was voted into the Global Power List by PR Week from 2014-16, and was featured in Campaign Asia as one of 11 Most Admired Agency Leaders in the region. He was also awarded a prestigious Individual Achievement Sabre by the Holmes Report in 2012. In his spare time, Scott teaches at University of Southern California (USC), and Peking University’s Guanghua EMBA Program, and he also serves on the East Asia Advisory Board of the Special Olympics.
